Bangladesh
We support a multi-purpose training center in Kaliganji, Bangladesh, which is run by the NGO Hunger Free World (HFW). An elementary school uses the same building, which also supports other activities such as computer training, sewing classes for women, poultry farming, and providing small-scale loans for poor women, which are designed to empower the local people to overcome poverty and become self-sufficient.
Haiti
The Republic of Haiti is located in the Caribbean Sea, and is considered the poorest country in Central America. The Initiative Against Hunger (IAH), one of the local NGOs in Haiti, has established a medical health center in Petii-Place-Cazeau, one of the poorest suburbs of Port-au-Prince, the capital city of Haiti, and provides treatment for only a minor initial consultation fee, as well as immunization, health checks for children, food distribution, and AIDS prevention measures.
We are currently building a vocational school in order for young people acquire skills, such as computer, electricity, plumbing, and get a job. Cocoro-no Vitamin Institute fully supports the activities of IAH.
